Published in March 2014, the statutory framework comes into force from 1 September 2014, and the revised framework is for school leaders, school leaders, school staff, childcare providers, childminders
It relates to:
- Maintained schools
- Non-maintained schools
- Independent schools
- Academies and free schools
- Nurseries
- Private nursery schools
- Pre-schools/playgroups
- Childminding
Until this comes into force, the current ‘Early years foundation stage framework’, published in September 2012, remains in force.
