Ofsted withdraws online SEF

Ofsted has announced that it will be withdrawing the online self-evaluation form (SEF) from the Ofsted website from 1 April 2018. It was never compulsory to use the Ofsted SEF anyway, but many settings still wrestled with completing it because it seemed to be expected by inspectors.

The decision to remove the SEF follows a review by Ofsted into its effectiveness and whether or not it is needed.

Although the Ofsted SEF will be withdrawn, the requirement to reflect on and evaluate your practice remains, and inspectors will still want to see evidence of this.

If you are a member the out of school alliance they have a SEF template for out of school club, members £8.00 and non members £10.00
