Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) – Roadshow Events

The Birmingham Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) will go live on Monday, 28th July 2014.

The Birmingham MASH represents the most significant step change in collaboration between agencies, on behalf of children at risk, that Birmingham has ever seen.

Agencies from across all sectors will be represented by more than 60 professionals co-located at Birmingham City Council offices at Lancaster Circus.

The co-located multi-agency team will instantaneously and dynamically assess the risks posed to children referred into MASH. They will have ready access to all of their relevant individual agency information and confidently submit it into the MASH assessment. The breadth of timely information made available will underpin the assessment and provide for much more robust and holistic child focused action far sooner than ever possible before.

Clearly the robust multi-agency confidence and challenge of each other within the MASH will be critical in driving the better outcomes for children across the city. Even more critical will be your understanding and confidence in this reinvigorated ‘child centered approach’ so you can properly represent the children you serve.

BENEFITS OF ATTENDANCE:

The MASH presentations and expert panel at this key event will provide you with the opportunity to gain that understanding and confidence in this critical new chapter in Birmingham’s approach to protecting children. It will also provide you the opportunity to challenge on behalf of children and help inform and shape a better future.
